To check the (HCG) level, blood test should be done. If (HCG) level doesn’t increase it might be the case of ectopic pregnancy.
Vaginal Examination.
An ultrasound Sonography will help us detect ectopic pregnancy.
Causes of Ectopic Pregnancy:
An ectopic pregnancy is caused by a fertilized egg’s incapability to go quickly down the fallopian tube into the uterus.An infection or inflammation will block it entirely.PID is the most common infection.Scar tissue from previous surgeries on abdomen can also cause blockage.
Treatment
Non Surgical Treatment:
Early treatment of ectopic pregnancy with methotrexate has been an alternative surgical treatment from the year 1993.But the danger is that, it can disrupt the development of embryo, causing the blockage of pregnancy.
Surgical Treatment:
If there is heavy blood loss or hemorrhaging, surgical treatment should be done. But half the ectopics happen to cause tubal abortion. Surgeous use laparoscopy to have access to the pelvis.It can either incise the fallopian or remove the affected tube with salpigectomy.
